育空 - 加拿大真正的北方
加拿大西北边陲，BC省的北面接近北极的地方有一片广袤的土地，那就是Yukon(育空）- 一个带有神秘色彩的区域，我心向往的地方。我曾想象那是一个空旷、寂寥而又荒芜的地区，天高路远，气候严寒，人烟稀少。
2001年秋天，我终于有机会踏上这片向往已久的陌生而神秘的土地。10天之内行程6500公里，沿途所见是大量野生动物和连绵不绝的大自然风光，并在不少地方，特别是道森市（Dawson City）参观了19世纪初淘金热留下的各种历史遗迹。因时间仓促，此行留下了两个遗憾：没有到达北极圈也没有见到北极光。
下面是此次旅行所拍的部分照片，与没有去过育空的XDJM们分享。

People are surprised to know that we didn't shop till drop in Paris. We did window-shopping on rue du Faubourg St-Honore though:-) The best part we love about the City of Light is strolling along the Seine and the wandering in the Chateau countries.

The only knowledge we had about Barcelona is the 1992 Olympic, and then last year, we were very impressed by the Spanish movie L'Auberge Espagnole (Pot Luck). We never expect to discover so much culture, architecture and history here…
The Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Familia or simply Sagrada Familia, Antoni Gaudí's unfinished masterpiece, is one of Barcelona's most popular tourist attractions. Construction on this church started in 1882 and will continue at least until 2041, but it has already become Barcelona's most important landmark.

新年的第一次出“走”
圣诞，元旦，春节，公司聚餐，朋友聚会，连续近两个月无节制的暴饮暴食，大饱了口福，却连累了身体，如果不及时将积聚FAT消耗掉，这血脂、胆固醇的浓度可能又会超标。星期天阳光明媚，天气也不太冷，便决定出去走走。考虑到山顶仍然有积雪，路可能很湿滑，又有老岳母和另外一个朋友跟随，便选了一条离家很近的小径（Lynn Headwaters Trail），就当是春季Hiking前的热身。
好不容易找个地方把车停下来，来到小径入口已经是下午12点20分。这条Trail很好走，既宽又平，几乎没有什么坡度。抬头向北望去，四周是深绿色陡峭的群山，山谷中有一条小溪（Lynn Creek）由北往南穿过。因为是冬天水少的缘故，溪中的石头大部分都暴露在阳光下，反射出的灰白色光芒显得很耀眼。
沿着溪旁的小路一直向北走，阳光也渐渐被森林中高大的树木遮盖，气温越来越低，路上能见到少许尚未融化的积雪和冰块。来来往往的人不少，很多都带狗同行，一路上满眼尽是大小不同、毛色各异的狗们，前乎后拥，好不热闹。大家迎面走来都会很友好地点头致意，并说声“Hi”或“Hello”， 有时会停下来夸夸他们的狗，乘机在狗身上摸几把，所以一路走来并不无聊。
在林中不知不觉走了近一个小时，前面突然一片明亮，原来是一片空地。我们一行四人决定就在此休息，不再往前，便寻得溪旁的石头坐了下来。山谷很静，没有风，只能偶尔听到细微的流水声。太阳照着全身很温暖，有一种说不出的舒坦。

Ten minutes before we were about to jump onto the train and head to our next destination, we were still taking our last minute to walk in the old city square, sip our last coffee in the morning sun. Really wish we had stayed here longer than planned.

Sevilla, Spain
Byron wrote Sevilla "is a pleasant city famous for oranges and women", that we don't know. But it's here that we watched the authentic flamenco, tasted the best ever breakfast, and even practiced our broken Spanish to get our deposit back. Our favorite spot undoubtedly is Santa Cruz.

欧洲游图片系列 - 葡萄牙里斯本
去年九月，经过精心策划和准备，终于踏上了那块向往已久欧洲大陆，实现了我们多年的梦想。历时三个星期，途径葡萄牙的里斯本和南部沿海小镇Albufeira和Lagos，西班牙的塞维尔、马德里和巴塞罗纳，最后到达法国巴黎并参观了其近郊的乡村城堡。这次旅行除了饱览各地的名胜古迹和独特风光外，还参观了数不清的艺术和历史博物馆，并尝到了各地极具特色的佳酿美食。
里斯本：一座我们想象中的美丽城市，红色的屋顶，山顶的城堡，记录着悠久历史的狭窄细长的街道，热情而善良的人们都给我们留下了深刻的印象。

14:50:13, 分类: 旅游 都是大雨惹的祸
连日的大雨使大温地区多处成为泽国，给居民的生活出行带来了极大的不便。北温River side附近的山泥倾泻更是造成1死1重伤，据说死亡的是一位亚裔妇人。这次灾难造成的影响仍然没有平息，至今还有20多户有家难归。
记得两年前本人还到那一带看过房子，曾下过Offer, 但最终却没有拿到。还记得那是一个山谷，一条小溪（河？）就在山谷中间流过，房子就建造在溪流两边，房子的后面就是陡峭的山坡。夏天时，古木参天，遮阳避日，即安静又清凉。另外，那里也是一个户外活动爱好者的好去处，是Biking和Hiking的好地方。
